I created The New Black Think as a reaction to the growing sentiment of many in lieu of recent trials and grand jury judgements that involve young black males. I feel that the real issue is not law enforcement, and that many problems in the black community are not because of white racism, but because of internal problems within the black community that need to be dealt with. If you got rid of every corrupt or racist police officer on the planet the problem in the black community will still exist. There is a frustrated black underclass where communities of people are being left behind economically, socially and education wise. Areas where employment and schools essential to be successful are failing. There is a justified sense of hopelessness in these communities. I feel that the demonstrations and protests are a misdirected outcry by peoples trying desperately to survive.
